Our 3-day Uganda birding tour is the ideal option for short-stay visitors wanting to experience Uganda's birdlife without a long safari commitment. Combining Mabamba Swamp for the shoebill stork, Entebbe Botanical Gardens and Lake Victoria wetlands, this tour targets 120+ species including several Ugandan specialities.
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Entebbe. Afternoon birding at Entebbe Botanical Gardens — great blue turaco, African grey parrot, grey-backed fiscal, African fish eagle, blue-breasted kingfisher and 80+ species. Overnight Entebbe.
Day 2: Full day at Mabamba Swamp. Early morning canoe for shoebill stork, papyrus gonolek, African jacana and wetland specials. Afternoon at Entebbe lakeside for waders and waterbirds. Overnight Entebbe.
Day 3: Morning birding at Mabamba or alternative wetland site. Transfer to Entebbe Airport for departure.

Target species include shoebill stork, African grey parrot, great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, blue-breasted bee-eater, African fish eagle, African jacana, malachite kingfisher, pied kingfisher, grey crowned crane, African pygmy goose and long-tailed cormorant.
